Set high above the Amalfi Coast, Villa Eva provided the perfect setting for Amy and Marcus’s joyful Italian wedding celebration. From a relaxed morning surrounded by family and friends to a romantic ceremony overlooking the sea, an elegant dinner under the marquee, and dancing beneath the stars, the day unfolded as a beautiful blend of timeless details, personal touches, and the unmistakable spirit of an Italian summer evening.
Guests began arriving in the gardens to a relaxed Italian welcome. Lemonade and cucumber or mint-infused water were served alongside chilled Prosecco from the Prosecco Wall, while the villa’s ice cream cart offered six flavors for an unexpected and playful treat. A floral-decorated vintage Vespa created a charming selfie moment, while the reception marquee remained hidden behind closed curtains, keeping the evening’s design a surprise.
Before the ceremony, Amy and Marcus shared their First Look, away from their guests. It was a quiet moment to pause together before the celebrations began, with the couple also having the option to exchange private letters or vows away from the cameras.
The ceremony took place on the Belvedere Terrace, where the spectacular sea view became part of the design. Guests were seated in a gentle semicircle facing the water, surrounded by lush floral bushes, greenery, candles, and delicate paper cones filled with petals. The wedding party made their way down the aisle to carefully selected music, followed by Amy’s entrance with her mother and family, including the little child of the couple.
The symbolic ceremony was filled with emotion, from the processional and vows to the exchange of rings and first kiss.
After the ceremony, the atmosphere became more relaxed as guests gathered in the gardens for cocktail hour. A string trio provided the soundtrack while guests enjoyed Italian-inspired aperitivi, cocktails, Prosecco and a selection of savory bites.
The reception was being prepared beneath the marquee. Long tables were dressed with elegant blue-and-white tableware, gold cutlery and glassware, low floral arrangements, taper candles and individually personalized limoncello bottles. Three chandeliers suspended above the tables completed the warm, romantic atmosphere, while some of the ceremony florals were repurposed within the reception design.
As the evening began, the curtains of the marquee opened to reveal the dinner setting. A swing singer performed live at the piano as guests took their seats, creating an elegant transition from the garden celebration to dinner.
Dinner unfolded with live music, heartfelt speeches and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu brought together classic Italian flavors, while special meals were prepared to accommodate the dietary preferences of the guests. Speeches were woven into the dinner service, allowing the evening to remain personal and intimate without interrupting its natural rhythm.
After dinner, the celebration moved back outdoors. The cake cutting was followed by Amy and Marcus’s first dance, family dances and an energetic garden party with DJ. The millefeuille wedding cake, layered with Chantilly cream and wild strawberries, was decorated with fresh flowers and became part of the evening’s celebrations.
Under the stars, the formalities gave way to dancing. An outdoor bar kept the drinks flowing while the DJ brought a completely different energy to the gardens. The Prosecco Wall was dismantled to make room for one of the evening’s most relaxed and quintessentially Italian moments: a late-night pizza party, beginning with a heart-shaped pizza made especially for the newlyweds before the pizzaiolo served a selection of freshly made pizzas.
As the night continued, guests eventually moved inside the villa, where the party continued with music, dancing, colorful lights and the energy of a late summer night on the Amalfi Coast.
