Lots of love and rivers of limoncello spritz: this is the recipe for Marissa and Chris’s enchanting cliffside Ravello wedding, in the heart of Southern Italy.
Nestled in the embrace of the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea, this sea-view garden cliffside Ravello wedding at Belmond Hotel Caruso is full of Mediterranean magic, great Italian foods and joyful celebrations under the sun.
The fairytale wedding in shades of pink and peach is a vision brought to life by the exceptional team at Amalfi Soirée, blossomed in the expert hands of Rosalinda Wedding Flowers and captured with flair and talent by analog photographer Sergio Sorrentino and Fine Art videographer Diego Perrini.
Marissa and Chris’ dream was to offer a totally immersive destination experience for their guests, to give them a taste of the famous European hospitality. The couple’s casual yet luxurious style guided every decision during the planning stage, from the invitations to the menu choice.
The ceremony took place at sunset, to enjoy the romantic view of the sea and mountains as it was tinged with pastel colors, celebrated by the couple’s closest friends.
A lush deconstructed floral arch filled the scene and flower bushes, with stems of different lengths and colors, appeared as if they had just bloomed along the aisle.
Chris made his entrance in a tailored suit and cute floral loafers that attracted many compliments.
The bride, on the notes of Stand by Me by Florence and the Machine, stunned in a draped gown by Alena Leena, with off-the-shoulder bell sleeves.
A natural and luminous make-up, combined with soft Hollywood waves, was created by Beauty Livery. The look was completed by the wedding bouquet composed of garden roses, dahlias, wallflowers, cosmos, tulips, queen anne lace, sweet pea.
A collective toast closed the symbolic celebration while a Neapolitan duo delighted guests during the cocktail hour in the open-air lounge. A mug wall made especially for the occasion added lightheartedness and fun to the party, when each guest received a refined hand-painted Vietri ceramic cappuccino cup decorated with their name.
A sumptuous alfresco dinner based on fresh and local ingredients was served under the olive trees of the Wagner Garden, with floating candles hanging from the branches. Small accents of Amalfi-inspired decor dotted the long table, such as the custom patterned tablecloth by Set Up My Table and the romantic mise en place by G&G Party Service.
The menu included citrus-marinated sea bass from the Amalfi Coast with celery and annurca apple salad, Ravello-style mezzi paccheri pasta with three type of cherry tomatoes and beef fillet au gratin in red wine sauce with potato millefeuille.
After dinner, and a quick dress change for the bride, the party moved to the poolside for the cutting of the cake. Fireworks lit up the Amalfi night of the cliffside Ravello wedding as a pizza party with hot slices of freshly baked Margherita, Diavola and Vegetarian enriched the dj party.
At midnight sharp, all the guests said “buona notte” to the newlyweds, who enjoyed one last intimate dance, just the two of them under the stars.
