Derek and Lindsey took their first trip abroad together to Italy. It was during this trip that they decided that, if they ever got married, Italy would have been the best place.

“Every corner in Italy is wrapped in beauty, every sight, sound, taste, and smell fill you in a way we had never experienced anywhere else in the world. There is a romanticism that engulfs this country that is unworldly and unexplainable.”

Both Lindsey and Derek share a love for the beach as well, living in Newport Beach CA, so when they had to choose which area of Italy they would exchange their vows, Amalfi just felt right.

The day started at the luxury hotel Le Sirenuse, one of the chicest places in Positano, from where you can enjoy the incredible view of the majolica dome of the main church and the iconic hill of pastel-colored houses that descend towards the sea.

Beauty Livery created a sophisticated yet simple look for the bride that emphasized the natural beauty of Lindsey’s features, thanks to a bight make-up and soft Hollywood-style glamorous waves.

On her wedding day, the bride wore a sensual gown by Galia Lahav with floral embroidery and pearls. The groom surprised with a wonderful white suit by ISAIA Napoli.

After getting ready, our couple decided to whiz around the scenic roads of Amalfi Coast with a red Alfa Romeo Spider, while the bride’s glossy blonde hair and her ravishing wedding dress with stunning lace details fluttered in the air.

From the bride: “One of our favorite parts of the day was riding around the quaint and picturesque Positano streets in our vintage car with the wind blowing in our hair, stopping along the way for photos and receiving friendly congratulations wishes from locals. If that does not scream Dolce Vita, I don’t know what does!”

After this dreamy panoramic ride, the two lovebirds went for a romantic stroll at the beach where a traditional Capri gozzo awaited them for a fun boat tour to Amalfi, accompanied by champagne pops, some good laughs and romantic shots.

As the couple’s dream was to enjoy the most authentic face of the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Soirée team guided them in the choice of the venue, showing them the charming ruins of the Basilica Di Sant’Eustachio, on the hills of Scala, a place still little known to mass tourism. They felt at first sight that this was the perfect place for their Amalfi Coast elopement!

“The most unique thing about this place – the couple told- was that you needed to get there by foot, and all of our décor by donkey! We will never forget the walk together on the cobblestone path winding through vineyards and country homes, and finally seeing the Basilica for the first time from a distance. It was like a dream come true!”

S. Eustachio Cathedral

Located in the medieval village of Minuta, the ruins of S. Eustachio are a place rich in history and surrounded by nature, which offers a spectacular view of the seaside town of Atrani and Minori and of the hill of Ravello, with Villa Cimbrone’s gardens clearly distinguishable.

Isabelle di Ravello Flowers took on the interesting challenge of creating an attractive design that was at the same time respectful of such a fascinating venue. The selection of wedding colors thus fell on delicate shades of pink, cream and cappuccino, and on floral compositions inspired by the garden, with longer and shorter stems of roses and scabiosa, as if they had just blossomed from the ancient stone floor.

A string duet played as the officiant from That’s Amore chose the most touching words for the ceremony, and Derek and Lindsey shared their personal vows.

A local painter, Vittorio di Buongiorno Ravello, captured the moment in beautiful brushstrokes of color that would become a beautiful decor piece in the couple’s living room.

While the sun set over the hidden location in a triumph of pastel colors, Rossini Photography and Three Seconds Film accompanied the lovely couple in a walk to the church garden, capturing their loving glances in intimate and fascinating images.

The most romantic dinner was served in the shade of two young olive trees, with a refined table set by Allestimenti Le Rose. The team of Scalaro Eventi surprised their palates with traditional local dishes, revisited in a modern key. Among the other courses, unforgettable were the Aubergine Mini Parmigiana, the Caprese Raviolo with Corbara cherry tomatoes and Agerola fior di latte fondue, and the Millefeuille with vanilla cream and strawberries which closed the wedding day on a sweet note!
