From the moment Shanon first met Anthony, she had a feeling he was the one she’d marry someday. Years later, on a golden autumn afternoon on the Amalfi Coast, that quiet certainty bloomed into a breathtaking wedding in Ravello — one filled with artful details, heartfelt celebration, and the kind of timeless romance you only find in Italy.
Planned and designed by Amalfi Soirée, this destination wedding was a curated journey of beauty and emotion from start to finish.
The bride and groom’s dream was to offer a totally immersive destination experience for their guests and rediscover Tony’s Italian origins. This took the two lovebirds in an explorative Summer trip that had its highlight in a Dolcevita-style engagement shooting through the winding alleys of Atrani, captured to perfection by Sergio Sorrentino, with a vintage red Duetto Spider adding just the right touch of nostalgic charm.
Beside the natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast, the couple found inspiration in the Fall season, with a rich and warm palette of jewel tones, such as burgundy, orange and purple.
The couple’s invitation suite, crafted on handmade paper and adorned with an illustration of the venue by the local artist Vittorio from Buongiorno Ravello, set the tone for a wedding deeply inspired by place and season.
On their wedding weekend, Shanon and Tony welcomed their family and friends with delicious cocktails and sweeping coastal views at their suite in Belmond Villa Margherita.
Each guest was greeted with a custom straw welcome bag from Amalfi Wedding Craft, filled with local pasta, sweet treats, and thoughtful details for their Italian vacation.
For Italians, food is more than a nourishment, it’s a way to connect and know each other. That’s why, on the day before, each guest has been called to join a hands-on pizza making class, followed by a rustic pizza party under the stars, at Trattoria da Lorenzo — an original and fun way to make friends and challenge themselves.
On the big day, a symbolic ceremony overlooking the sea at Belmond Hotel Caruso captured the magic of the moment — and when a gentle drizzle began to fall mid-vows, guests smiled knowingly. In Italian tradition, a touch of rain is a sign of good luck, and here, it felt like a blessing. The autumnal palette was reflected in every details, from the gorgeouse florals by Rosalinda Flowers Weddings Lab to the elegantly styled attire. Shanon wore a mermaid gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves and carried a whimsical bag shaped like a wedding cake, while Anthony’s classic look was effortlessly refined and included custom cufflinks featuring the silhouettes of their cats.
The dinner beneath centuries-old olive trees was a scene from a dream: crystal chandeliers twinkled above the green joile de toile table that looked like a Flemish painting, with a lush meadow-effect floral runner ran along the entire length, seasonal fruits – small miniature pumpkins! – for an opulent finishing touch and refined plates and colorful glassware.
The menu featured culinary delights like the risotto with yellow cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, culminating in a lemon tiramisu that honored the region’s beloved citrus.
Guests were treated to live portraits by a wedding painter as the evening unfolded, and the Italian band Lemon Groove Quintet brought the party to life. The energy was contagious — not a single phone in sight, just pure, joyful presence on the dance floor. A custom Prosecco wall kept glasses full while the rhythm carried everyone into the night.
As the stars and nocturnal storm appeared, the wedding group moved poolside, under a cozy covered marquee, with a DJ set by Dj Fabio Anastasio, a late-night wood-fired pizza snack, and a dramatic Lambeth-style cake cutting moment framed by sparkling fireworks fountains.
As the night fell on the party, Shanon and Tony had no doubt that this had been the best day ever. Being so full of a good vibes and gentle emotions, their Ravello wedding really was more than a destination wedding — it was a love letter to each other, to their family and to their friends, and a weekend no one will ever forget.
