Getting married on a panoramic terrace in the heart of Amalfi Coast

A sea view ceremony in two languages

For Yailen and Julio, getting married in Italy was a dream come true, yet a few hours before the wedding they experienced the nightmare of every destination couple: losing the wedding dress during the stopover!

“Some airline companies have the practice of loading the suitcases on the next flight if it is less full than yours,” says Monica, the wedding planner. “To complicate things, in this case, were the Easter holidays: the shipment from Spain was scheduled for two flights later but the delivery from Naples airport to the hotel could not happen before the following Tuesday, and the wedding was on Saturday!”

However, Yailen and Julio did not discourage and did not renounce to their wedding weekend. On the first day, they enjoyed taking an engagement photo session aboard a vintage Vespa that took them to the most scenic spots on the Amalfi Coast. Then, they joined a welcome party with friends and families at a beach restaurant, Il Covo dei Saraceni, while the groomsmen retrieved and delivered everyone’s luggage  at precisely midnight, a few hours before the wedding.

“Our main concern, as wedding planners, was to make sure that the group remember what the real priority were, because such an emergency can make you lose sight of the really important things. Losing your bags can happen but it is not the bridal dress that makes the wedding! In the worst case, we would have rented one, but luckily everything worked out for the best! “

On the wedding day, the chosen location, the wonderful Marincanto Hotel with its terraces overlooking the sea, was colored in white and pastel pink. Rosalinda Flowers created a sumptuous bouquet and beautiful garden-style compositions with roses, butterfly buttercups and white tulips. The table set up was completed with the sophisticated items by Allestimenti Le Rose.

For a graceful look, torn between modernity and romanticism, the bride wore the long-awaited dress with a bodice decorated with embossed floral embroidery. The back of the gown with visible buttons and trasparencies added a note of sensuality, highlighted by the soft bun created by Ida Mascolo’s team. The sober elegance of the wedding theme was translated by Giuseppina Villani into a natural and bright make-up.

The wedding ceremony took place at sunset on the Belvedere Terrace with the pastel-coloured town in the background to frame the most exciting moment. Priscilla from A La Costa celebrated a symbolic ceremony in double language, English and Spanish, involving the guests in the touching rite of union of the sand while Pino Rispoli on the keyboard and Anna Velichko on the violin enchanted everyone with sweet melodies.

The party then continued on the lemon terrace with a seated dinner based on typical Italian cuisine. The cups were filled with abundant prosecco when the bride and groom cut the naked cake decorated with flowers and macarons by Angelo Pasticceria Praiano.

Blissful Hazel Photography and Andrea Gallucci masterfully captured the happy day in timeless images and videos that will undoubtedly become precious heirlooms.

“Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and even more” the couple has sighed at the end of the event “We take nothing but great things from Positano”.
