A romantic and timeless destination wedding at Villa Eva

As Amalfi Coast wedding planners and designers, it has been a funny challenge planning this magical villa wedding in an exclusive sea view garden near Villa Cimbrone, in Amalfi Coast.. in only 45 days!

“We met thanks to a mutual friend,” Onome said, “but we’ve been only friends for about a year, until we realized that ours was more than a friendship. The surprise proposal happened in a restaurant in the presence of our families and closest friends”.

A year later, Onome and Efe were planning a touching destination wedding in Italy.

Both had high expectations for their wedding and were worried that they could not live a truly unique and unforgettable experience with their dear guests, having already changed 2 wedding planners up to that point!

The inspiration for the event came from many cues: the idea of ”fairy” and “natural”, a poem by Gabriele D’Annunzio, a fashion show by Paolo Sebastian. We worked at an accelerated pace, finalizing all the wedding details in few weeks, from the wedding playlist to the menu, from the guest list to the timeline, from the hairstyle to the day-of stationery.

On the wedding day, while the groom, in his Umberto Custom Tailor suit, strolled with his groomsmens in the picturesque streets of Ravello waiting for the moment of the ceremony, Onome was prepared with the girls at Villa Eva, the wonderful wedding location she had chose, in the heart of the Amalfi Coast.

Papa Chichi Style translated the natural and refined mood into a sophisticated hairstyle reminescent of the 40s divas, embellishing it with stones and pearls perfectly coordinated with the delightful dress by Pallas Couture and the jewel shoes by Bella Belle Shoes. A light and bright makeup was made by the talented Bimpe Onakoya, while the bridesmaids, all dressed in pastel colors, were prepared by Praise Law.

A symbolic ceremony on a lush terrace overlooking the sea

After a refreshing welcome drink at Villa Maria, when the sun was just beginning to set, everyone gathered on the panoramic terrace decorated by Kuts Flowers, letting themselves be captivated by the breathtaking sea view.

An enchanted garden of blue delphinium, roses, orchids and anthuriums was the background for this modern fairy tale, while Pino Rispoli played the “Nothing else matters” in a classical version by piano, accompagnied by violin and cello, transformed the moment into pure magic.

With great joy of the assembled guests, Onome and Efe took their first step together as husband and wife. Blessings from Italy celebrated the symbolic ritual, using meaningful and touching words, which caused more than a tear of happiness! The most emotional moment of the celebration saw as protagonists not only the couple, but the whole bridal party, with the release of a cloud of white butterflies by FarfallexEventi, as symbol of purity and love.

After the ceremony the party moved into the lush park of the villa where salted snacks and assorted canapes were served. A 5-meter wall covered with grass was an impressive Prosecco Wall – special project by Amalfi Soirée – where everyone could stock up on the good Italian drink.

A wonderful marquee covered with fragrant jasmine was the perfect place for the seated meal where the MC Follyfresh would have entertained the diners with his energetic and contagious smile. Once opened the curtains that blocked the dinner room from the sight, guests finally discovered the beautiful reception room: the color palette was delicate and forested thanks to the floral compositions of clematis, sweet peas, delphinium and greenery by Kuts Flowers who brought, once again, a breath of spring in this warm Mediterranean night!

Thinking that it was impossible to live even happier moments than those just passed, guests were invited into the inner rooms at the stroke of the midnight.
Here Dj Baj welcomed them to the dance floor with the most beautiful hits: young and old went wild, dancing all night and toasting the happy couple.

Finally, Jennifer and Salvatore from Lace&Luce captured all the best memories in intimate and timeless images, flanked by Mirco & Anisa who provided thanks to their work as videographers a unique perspective to the wedding story.

“Watching to the images and the videos of the day, we still can’t believe this was our wedding! Our families and friends had a great time and surely the event surpassed all our expectations ”commented Onome and Efe, completely in love.
